Japanese poetry is graceful, laconic, so unlike the work of Western poets - a unique phenomenon. And many experts believe that it is the era of the Silver Age (late XIX - the first half of the 20th century) that is the period of the highest heyday of the Japanese verse. The real anthology, prepared by the famous orientalist and translator of Japanese poetry Alexander Dolin, includes works by the largest poets of the Silver Age (among whom there are famous writers as Ryunoske Akutagawa and National Socials).
The book is complemented by extensive introductory articles recreating the panorama of numerous poetic schools and directions of the Silver Age
