Petka, the hero of the story "Wooden Kingdom", loves to read and invent stories, he has a rich imagination - but at school everyone is outraged by his constant "lies". The boy dreams of a trip with his father to the Caucasus during the winter holidays, but the plans are changing coolly: the father is called on a business trip ... And Petka goes to the village. At first, it is difficult for a city boy to get used to the rustic life, but it is here that real, unit adventures awaits him and a genuine, not book life opens.
In the second story - "I count up to three!" - Lyosha gets into the same village in the summer, but he has completely different problems: his father does not care about the boy, his mother was about to get married again, they kicked out of the sports section - Lyosha everywhere feels superfluous. He, like Petka, has to find out what people stand, what he is capable of and how much real life is different from the one he saw in the cinema.
For primary and secondary school age
