German Plisetskiy (1931-1992) is known as the outstanding translator of Omar Khayyam and Hafiz, although he was a wonderful poet, who was the author of the poems "poems, the side children of Russia! .." and the epoch-making poem "Pipe" about the deadly talent that occurred in Day of popular farewell to Stalin. His poems were occasionally published in the West, and in the USSR they were not printed nearly a quarter of a century. This book is an attempt to tell about the artist’s life through his poems, translations, diaries, articles, letters, drawings, photographs and memories of friends. The author -compiler is the son of the poet, journalist and writer Dmitry Plisetskiy
