Living poets

Who are modern poets? Moscow alcoholics and scientists from the province, psychologists and programmers, famous musicians and factory workers, punks and students of philosophical faculties- all of them write poetry. Created by writer Andrei Orlovsky, the project "Living Poets" publishes contemporaries, searches for unusual voices and helps to be heard. For three years, the editors received 20,000 applications, the project participants became more than 250 authors of 80 cities of 15 countries.
The name "Living Poets" is reduced to two letters - "zhe" - this says a lot about the project. Everything can be real: ignore the rules of the language, raise sick and uncomfortable topics, write about them using any vocabulary. Unprofessional approach? Maybe. Unstable, personal poems? Basically, yes. But at the same time, sincere and real, and therefore alive.
Living poets are the only community in which the best works of modern poets are collected. For them, only the talent and ability of the author to penetrate the very heart of the audience. Touching at the same time the most sore points. Everyone who wants to feel the fabric of life feels in a whirlpool of events. To everyone who wants to change the world.
