Living nut

Belchata Fun and Duk built faces for each other when a nut jumped out of the ground. Immediately, a dispute broke out between the brothers: who was the first to see a nut and whose he was. All the neighbors fled to the noise. Uncle Barsuk suggested arranging a race. Other animals also wanted to participate in learning that the winner would receive a nut as a reward. But the nut was not simple, but magical. He either appeared, then disappeared in the most unexpected places. And he finally confused animals, forcing them to forget about the race.
From the first to the last page, this story keeps the child in suspense. The kid is watching how they quarrel and argue, how they try to cunning the rabbit Olik and Hedgehog, as Uncle Badger tries to restore order and judge in fairness. The adult is already guessing that for heaps of lands grow in the grass and who is hiding under the shell of a nut, but the child only knows the world and amazing discoveries await him ahead.
The English writer Katherine White managed to come up with an exciting story in which there is everything: fights, chases, sudden appearance and disappearance, wonderful salvation and general glee. Watercolor illustrations Vanessa Kabben invite to plunge into the cozy world of squirrels and rabbits, help to monitor the development of the plot, show how the mood and emotions of the heroes change
