The Little House in Prairia is the second book of the famous autobiographical epic of the American writer Laura Ingles Wilder.
Laura and her sisters, along with their parents, leave the forests of Wisconsin and begin to settle in Kansas, on the ground of wild Indian tribes. Such a neighborhood becomes dangerous over time, and even the Wilders have to survive a dangerous crossing through a stormy river, a fire to the prairie and a terrible fever that almost destroyed the whole family. But dad - a master of all hands (build a house, and dig a well, and play the violin), who gently loves his daughters and a faithful wife - again equip the family life from scratch
