The book of Czech folk traditions written more than a hundred and fifty years ago (Sagen aus Bohmen, 1863) for a long time was a bibliographic rarity even for specialists. Only recently it became more accessible, being reprinted in the German language to Czech. The book is translated into Russian for the first time - literally and in full. In translated, the features of the original are preserved, since the author-compiler of the collection of J.V. Gromann (1831-1919) was one of the first to publish folk traditions not in literary processing, but exactly as they were preserved in oral being. A wide circle of readers of legend, who have archaic roots, leaving in pagan times, will be interesting primarily in comparison with similar Russian folk magists about house, water and goblin, traditions about ghosts in castles, legends about enchanted treasures
