Nikolai Albertovich Kun (1877 -1940) -historian, teacher, writer, author of the book “Legends and Myths of Ancient Greece”, published countless times before and after the revolution. The book was written for students and high school students of secondary schools, as well as for everyone who is interested in the mythology of the ancient Greeks. In the preface to the 1914 publication, N.A. Kun writes that when choosing versions of the same myth, the most ancient myths, the text of myths is not a translation of any sources, but a retelling that allows adolescents to get acquainted with the plots and the spirit of ancient poetry .
