Boris Dix-Symbolist poet (1882-1945) In 1911, his first poems were published in the magazine "Golden Fleece" and a poetic fairy tale "toys" with drawings by the artist Georgy Narbut (1886-1920) Narbut studied with outstanding masters of illustrations by M.V. Dobuzhinsky and I. Ya. Bilibin. He sought to turn text and visual materials into a single, holistic organism. The peculiarity of his handwriting is the clarity and clarity of the picture, the small number of colorful tones. The era of classicism and the Russian Empire are well guessed in the style of Narbutov illustrations
