The unaccountable Achaez is actually the name of Ivan Makarov, he is 18 years old, and he studies at the Dnieper Conservatory at the opera singer. From the very beginning, his poems struck me with incredible freedom from any canons, although Pasternak, then Oerius, and a suddenly unexpectedly bloc were heard in them. I have not met such wealth in combination with intuition and excellent knowledge of the predecessors. The same freedom is felt in all of his behavior, in exceptional frankness, courtesy and directness. Ahaz writes a lot and, moreover, everything is better. In his poems, sometimes real ingenious madness sounds that you can’t confuse with anything - because he continues to write even now. I am not a very good Christian, but I pray for him with all my might.
