January trilogy of Alexander Blok. Intelligentsia and Revolution, Twelve, Scythians

The poem “Twelve” written in January 1918, the article “Intelligentsia and Revolution” and the poem “Scythians” are not only chronologically close. They form a special “January trilogy”, connected by the unity of their creative pulse and political mood. According to the block, they are all written in accordance with the elements.
The book tells about the history of the creation of the January trilogy, it is given a real comment necessary for understanding the texts, and the reviews of contemporaries published during the life of the poet. The role is traced that these works played in the subsequent life of the block. Numerous trials have been described that have fallen to his share in the last years of his life, illness and hardships explaining his early care.
The texts of these works with the new textological reconciliation on autographs stored in the Blok archive in the manuscript department of the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House) of the Russian Academy of Sciences are also given
