"Jack and the Giants" is an English folk tale with illustrations of the famous artist Richard Doyle (1824-1883) and the engravings of the Dalil brothers are first published in Russian completely in seven parts. The work of Doyle is a charming combination of a subtle pattern and interpretation of a fairy -tale world. The engravings of the Dalilov are distinguished by the expressiveness of images, a dynamic manner of strokes and a balanced composition. At the end of the 19th century, many different books were published in the UK, and almost every illustrated book was indicated by their engraving workshop. The joint work of Richard Doyla and the Brothers Daliel is a vivid example of the book culture of the Victorian era
