Boris Ryzhey’s poetry was and remained not entirely poetry with all her music of words. This is wisdom that you do not cease to be surprised. This is the magic circle of Pushkin, Lermontov, Mayakovsky, Vysotsky. He looks like Shukshin, but he saw the simplest things with incredible acuteness. He dug into all the movements of reality, into all her bends and absurdities, a nightmare and beauty. And when you read it, cry and laugh. And the heart hurts with delight. And you cry again. And you understand that the worst is inevitable: a strong man goes to where they do not return.
