The Examiner is the immortal comedy of Nikolai Vasilievich Gogol (1809–1852), the brightest example of the Russian satire.
The author himself wrote that he decided to “gather all the bad in Russia in one pile that I knew then, all injustices that are made in those places and in those cases where the most required of a person of justice, and behind one laugh at all at once. ”
County city, in which the main character of Khlestakov gets, has become a model of Russia.
All types of Russian reality are represented here, all the characters of the Russian national spirit, all mental movements and all the vices inherent in a person who see himself in others, as in a crooked mirror.
For secondary and senior school age
