The manual was published as part of the educational and methodological kit for the program From Birth to School.
The book presents a system of correctional work to prepare for teaching the literacy of children 6–8 years old with mental retardation (ZPR).
The manual includes comprehensive-thematic work planning and approximate classes of classes.
The planning of classes proposed in the manual provides for a systematic approach to organizing the work of all specialists (defectologist, speech therapist, psychologist, musical director, teacher of ITR, physical education instructor, teacher, etc) with this category of children.
