In moments of sad music

Nikolai Rubtsov is one of the most famous lyrical poets of the second half of the twentieth century. A special, kind of musical charm of his poems was repeatedly marked by contemporaries. Perhaps it was thanks to this musicality that many of Rubtsov’s poems became famous songs (“I will drive a bicycle for a long time ...”, “In the moment of sad music ...”, “In my room is light ...” and others) Rubtsov’s poetry is distinguished by sincerity, a sense of love for Russia, wealth and a variety of poetic forms. No wonder, in the preface to his first book, Rubtsov wrote: In life and poetry - I can’t stand calmly any falsehood if I feel it.
