In the collection of new verses, Andrei Korovin appears before us a draftsman: his sketches of cities, roads, women, nature, a “apple house” are a diary of a poet who responds to the movements of light, people, and an era. In some cities, the author lingers (Moscow, Podolsk), in some ways, in some way returns in his memory (Tula), but each of these places brings the poet into his road notebook.
Among his interlocutors and characters there are many artists - Van Gogh, Gogen, Malevich, Picasso, Dali, Shagal. Perhaps because in childhood the poet dreamed of becoming an artist. But instead, he learned another craft - to write portraits in words, create paintings in poetry. Korovin’s imagery and metaphorism are a kind of bright, juicy colors inherent in his poetry. Poetry, which consists of a complex palette of images, thoughts, feelings hiding behind the game of words and imagination
