Maria Tolmacheva began to write already in adulthood, when she moved from Nizhny Novgorod to St. Petersburg and began to visit the literary evenings arranged by the publishers of the Children"s Magazine Tropka. There she made friends with the mother of Alexander Blok, and later began to communicate with him. The story “How Tasia lived”, published in 1913, immediately attracted the attention of the reading public to Maria Tolmacheva. After the revolution, she continued to write for children, while working in preschool institutions. The writer in the besieged Leningrad died, leaving many generations of readers about touching stories about little heroes.
On his sixth birthday, Tasya receives a wonderful white bear as a gift from his grandfather. So why is the girl not happy? She worries about an old bear - a shaved, with patches, but such a native and beloved. Mishka, probably, thinks that Tasia will leave him now, forget him for the sake of a new handsome man with a wonderful blue bow. But no, Tasia will not betray an old friend! Only a new bear is sorry - what is he alone in a strange house ... Now, if her bears made friends! In the meantime, a little girl will have to make a difficult choice, solve a real serious task and learn to act according to conscience.
