“Home semantics” by Yu. N. Tynyanov called the construction of images, motives, and quotes taken from the narrow sphere of the existence of a private “I” to the rank of poetry. Home semantics is involuntary poetry growing from private, secluded life, from household, friendly communication. She does not accept much of the usual arsenal of “great” poetry - solemnity and civilian pathos, theatrical pose and thoughtful, instantly turning them into the irony and friendly wink.
But she breathes the air of freedom and laid -back joy, freed from the burdensome labor of explanation of herself. From the very beginning, she announces herself Nugae - translated from Latin “trifles, trinkets” (this is what the second section of the book is called - we recall the books of Katull, Karamzin and Dmitriev) and, like any frivolous beauty, is more concentrated not at the depth of content , and on lightness and entertaining form. She smiles and laughs where her older sister frowns and picks up blooming epithets in her mind.
“Home semantics” is like the reverse side of the previous book “City of January”, its behind the grinder. Or vice versa - depending on how and where to look from. The soul of the soul. So, at least, both books are seen by their author
