The story in the verses “This is what the scattered” saw the light in 1930. By the number of reprints, this is the most popular work of Samuel Marshak. The prototype of the main character was the Soviet physicochemist I. A. Kablukov, who was famous for its impractical and distraction. But some contemporaries of Marshak saw in the scattered features of the author himself. The plot of the book is well known: a multiple person from Leningradskaya Street Basyna puts on completely inappropriate things, then goes to the station and sits in a unhook car for two days, believing that the train was carrying it to Moscow. Unlike other heroes of Marshak, who strict, sawing, spreading mail, stewing fires, this one is not assigned to any case. The image of the “scattered” is rather satirical, but thanks to the illustrations of Aminadav Kanevsky, he looks like a sweet and charming eccentric. In addition, his “scattered” is very similar to the author - this is what Marshak looked like in the thirties of the last century, with such a portfolio stuffed with manuscripts, he went to work. The cognitive value of the book is undeniable. Deliberate distortion, “shift” amuses the little reader. After all, he already has a modest everyday experience, and he knows that the pan is not clothes, but the gloves do not put on his feet. In fact, “scattered from the Basque Street” enshrines the child’s correct idea of the norm, teaches composure, calmness, judgment, otherwise you can commit a hundred stupid acts. It is also important to listen to others, sometimes you can consult with someone. After all, the main character was answered by his questions, but he heard only himself.
