Heidi, or Magic Valley

Johanna Spiri grew up in rural Switzerland, and the unique nature of the Alps lives in all her works. Her most famous book - "Heidi, or the Magic Valley" - a story about a small orphan, given to his grandfather in a lonely house high in the mountains, was published in 1880 and withstood thirteen editions in ten years.
Heidi is an open soul.
