The book includes fairy tales and stories written in different years of the writer"s life.
From childhood The writer warmly fell in love with his native Ural nature and described its beauty and greatness in his works. Nature in his works comes to life and becomes a direct participant in the narrative: “Gray Shayka”, “Forest Fairy Tale”, “Green War”, “Old Sparrow”.
The writer dedicated to his daughter Elena. In these tales, animals, birds, fish, plants, toys live and talk: a brave hare, mosquito Komarovich, Yerv Ershovich, fly, toy Vanka. Talking about the funny adventures of animals and toys, the author teaches children to observe nature, life.
The writer had a special attitude towards children. He called the book for them a “living thread”, which withdraws a child from the children"s room and connects with the wide world of life
