What is the debt ten thousand talents? This is an astronomical amount equal to about 300 tons of gold! In essence, this is irrevocable debt. One hundred dynariums are about 20 grams of silver - a real trifle compared to the amount of ten thousand talents! Also insignificant are the resentment of neighbors along with our duty in front of God.
A person is an unpaid debtor to God, not only because of his sins, but also because of the lack of good deeds that he could do, but did not do. And each of us has sins, if we consider very carefully our thoughts, words and deeds, is a simple many. But the Lord is so merciful that, by our request, we are ready to forgive us this immeasurable, astronomical duty.
But not everyone will be forgiven, but only to those who are merciful to other people, to his neighbors. And if we forgive other people caused to us insults, annoyance, troubles, then the Lord will forgive our debts for our mercy. We will remind ourselves about this daily in the prayer of the Lord: ... and leave us our debts, as well as we leave our debtor.
