Golden pot. Fairy tale from new times

Ernst Theodore Amadeus Hoffmann is a bright representative of German romanticism, a storyteller, composer, author of magical and fantastic works. The fairy tale "Golden Pot" is a magnificent example of Hoffmann"s work.
Anselm - an ordinary Dresden student. He is good, but poor as a church mouse, and also very clumsy and constantly falls into awkward situations. It seems that failures are simply pursued by the poor man. But unexpectedly he is lucky - he is hired by the scribe of the ancient manuscripts to the mysterious archivist Lindhorst. And then Anselma’s life is changing abruptly: an amazing vision begins to pursue a young man. Soon, Anselm discovers himself in the very center of the confrontation of the two worlds: ordinary, where he has a modest position, simple everyday joys and pretty bride Veronica, and an unknown, fantastic, where he is in love with captivating Salmar, the daughter of the spirit of Salamander. Will Anselm get the hand and heart of the green snake of Serpentina and the Golden Pot in addition or prefer a more familiar life with Veronica? ..
The book is illustrated by the atmospheric drawings of the artist Maria Bogdanova.
