In the publishing house "Nigma" comes out a picture book about the world of children"s dreams and fantasies. The tale of the English writer Holly Hughes was published in January of this year and immediately fell into the top sales of leading bookstores in the USA and Great Britain.
"Girl and dinosaur" is a story about faith in the impossible, about the impressive power of imagination.
Baby Marianne lives in a small town by the sea. Playing in the sand, the girl finds the ancient bones of the dinosaur. Marianne needs a friend like that! She makes a dinosaur to come to life and become her faithful companion. And one night the dream comes true! The girl and the dinosaur together go on an exciting journey and fall into a magical place where children"s dreams and dreams come to life.
In the story of Marianne there is a reference to the life of the paleontologist-self-taught of the 19th century Mary Anning. As a woman, Mary could not officially do a business that she felt passion from childhood. But this did not prevent her from making a number of outstanding discoveries in the field of paleontology. In 2010, Mary Anning was included in the number of ten British women who had the greatest influence on the development of science.
