Evgeny Vitkovsky is known to readers almost exclusively as a poet-translator and writer-science fiction. The second part of the current edition is the cycle of historical ballads" Rasa Nopeless , its plots cover Russian history over the past five centuries. The genre of Biography ballads, in which this part of the book was written, was first used to create an epic cycle: in Russian poetry, only its single samples have yet been found.
