The winners-Bolsheviks left not many bright memories of events in Russia of the first third of the 20th century. One of them, Alexander Voronsky, a revolutionary, writer, litcritus and editor of Red Novaya Novaya Novaya, in 1927 released an autobiographical book “For Living and Dead Water”, which still remains little -known. Voronsky in the 1920s was engaged in the organization of new Soviet literature, stood up for Babel and made his acquaintance with Shalamov, and at the end of the decade he was expelled from the party for opposition activities, sent to exile, and wrote a book there about his revolutionary youth. This is a fascinating, in some places a tragic, in places an ironic narrative about the revolution and revolutionaries completely unlike the tale of bloodthirsty conspirators who have destroyed the fertile powerful empire that are common today. "For lively and dead water" is not only a valuable historical evidence, but also real fiction, which is still waiting for its reader
