The rustic pigeon Gulya was freely soared in the blue sky, breathed clean air, ate plenty and was not going to change anything in his life, until once the storm threw one brisk sparrow to him in the barn. Chiv, that was the name of a new friend, did not understand how to live in the village. He so praised the charms of urban life that Gulya decided to go to the metropolis with him. Only nothing good came of it. In the city, Gulya found out that for food it is necessary to fight and the best piece always gets to the one who is stronger. He was almost killed by a crane-destroyer, and he almost landed in a cat"s dinner. He was brought home on an old wire hanger of seven sparrows, because he himself could not fly. Sparrows came out a sick dove, and remained to live in his abandoned barn in the middle of the fields and meadows, where no enemies jumped into the beak. So Guly has acquired friends.
