The main part of this book is the translations and paraphrases of the poems of the great French poet Charles Baudler (1821-1867), which became part of the poetic collections under the names "Flowers of Evil" (three of its publications-1857, 1861 and 1868) and "Fragments" (1866 ), namely: "to the reader" and 136 poems from the first collection, 23 - from the second and 3, which were additionally included by the compilers in the first posthumous edition of "Flowers of Evil". A mini-section consisting of: a) a prosaic translation, which is the most accurate, but ennobled the "adherent to the original, b) poetic paraphrase of the latter, is devoted to each poetic text of Baudler. The text is retelling, or the transmission of any text in your own words), accompanied by its additional options, as well as - c) context, which is more or less detailed comments on the original text. The main goal is to make Baudler’s most significant poetic works as much as possible for people who do not speak the French language - both through their translations - both prose and poetic, and with the help of explanations to them. The publication also includes: an introductory article with the presentation of the basic principles that guided the translator, several poems attributed to the poet, and a detailed analysis of the famous essay of the French philosopher J.-P. Sartra "Baudler"
