Sven Nurdquist - Swedish artist and writer, laureate of the Astrid Lindgren Prize (2003) The first book about old Petson and his smart kitten Findus was published in 1984, after which the series continued, and the author gained popularity first in his homeland, in Sweden, and then throughout Europe. Based on the series about Petson and Findus, cartoons were shot, computer games were made and theatrical productions were created. In the books of Nurdwist, more than one generation of children around the world has grown. Books are translated into 40 languages.
