The author of this book belongs to the generation of poets born immediately after the war - they are called "seventy -earnings", or "boilerous" generation, since, not being able to print, they were forced to earn a living, working as janitors and on -duty boiler houses. The Khrushchev thaw managed to end in their arrival in literature, many emigrated. Valery Krasnopolsky was lucky - he worked in his university profession, a mathematician, and was engaged in a poetic translation, which made it possible to print. He was presented with a ticket to literature by the Frontovik poet Evgeny Vinokurov - with his preface, the first book of poems was handed over to the publishing house, which nevertheless lay there for 15 years before seeing the light: the poems "Red Field" and "Solovetsky Islands" contradicted the spirit of Soviet ideology. Many verses of Valery of Krasnopolsky were printed abroad even before his first book.
In the new book of poems that goes to the anniversary of the author, the poet is true to his main topic: faith, dignity, devotion, love!
