R. Kipling is a world famous writer, the first of the British authors awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. He composed fairy tales for his daughter Josephine, and when the girl died at the age of six, Kipling compiled a collection of twelve fairy tales and released it in 1902 in memory of his favorite.
