Ivan Andreevich Krylov (1769 - 1844) - Russian poet, fabulist, publisher and playwright. The book included the most famous fables, including "Dragonfly and Ant", "Elephant and Moska", "Crow and Fox", "Quartet", "Monkey and glasses" and others. Ivan Krylov, characteristic of people, reflected animals that became the main characters of the works and spoke in the human language, and thanks to the author’s talent, many folk expressions became winged: so masterfully the poet weaved them into the fable lines.
