Alexander Pushkin’s novel “Eugene Onegin” belongs to the works that changed the course of the development of Russian literature. Written by a living language, at the same time technically honed and verified, he presented the public with a new literary form. The plot of the novel, witty and ironic, tells about the life of the nobles of the first third of the XIX century. The book is accompanied by illustrations by Nikolai Kuzmin, awarded in 1937 the Golden Medal of the World Exhibition in Paris. Notes and comments are compiled by the outstanding Pushkinist Boris Tomashevsky
