Igor Kokhanovsky is a legendary person in his own way. Born in Magadan, where his father, who made a revolution, worked at one time in the Dalstroy system, he grew up in Moscow, played hockey in his school years, training at the famous athlete Anatoly Tarasov, sat at the same desk and was friends with Vladimir Vysotsky who was taught by the guitar and who dedicated 5 of his songs to him (the most famous - "My friend left for Magadan"), graduated from MISI and worked as a foreman - built the Moscow microdistrict Khimki -Rokhino, changing the profession of an engineer to a journalist, worked for four years in a newspaper "Magadan Komsomolets", became famous as the author of many songs performed and performed by the stars of the Soviet and Russian pop. His biography is so full of events that it is impossible to tell either in a short annotation or even in a voluminous essay. But, it seems, Kokhanovsky is one of those who “never gets tired of life”: his feelings are alive, reactions to what is happening in an union are fresh and relaxed. From the seventies, his lyrics have been an example of immediacy, naturalness, even conversation - but for its simple and household intonation - vast experience, high culture of the verse and absolute human reliability. Kokhanovsky is one of the glorious galaxy of Moscow city lyrics -seven -sennies, which over the years becomes more frank, clearer and more merciful. Such an interlocutor of the east to the reader is not enough. Igor Kokhanovsky’s poems and lyrics are an excellent example of resistance to the Kazesna, vulgarity, atrocities, they have nobility, openness, aiming accuracy of the word.
