The book tells the story of a magnificent cowboy horse of haze. The author of the story, James Wil, was indeed a cowboy. And everything that is written in it about horses, about life in the prairies, about the complex and dangerous work of cowboys - all this is pure true from first -hand. James Wil knew and loved horses and his own business. "Dymka" is his most famous story, although more than twenty books were written to him. It was first published in 1926, and in 1927 it received the medal of John Newbury (the annual prize awarded for an outstanding contribution to American children"s literature)
