Dubrovsky longs to take revenge on his enemy - the extravagant landowner Kirill Troekurov, who brought his father to death and gave false testimonies to Dubrovsky in court. Vladimir is hired into the house of Troekurov under the guise of a tutor. However, his plans are not destined to come true: unexpectedly he falls in love with the daughter of Troekurov - Masha ...
"Tales of the late Ivan Petrovich Belkin" (1831) consist of 5 stories: "shot", "blizzard", "coffin", "station caretaker" and "young lady-peasant". All of them are examples of various literary styles: these are realism, and sentimentalism, and the Gothic story, and even vaudeville. “Belkin’s story” is a unique work of Russian literature of the 19th century, which opened new horizons of creative development for many famous writers.
