Dr. Aibolit

A wonderful children"s writer Korney Chukovsky composed two tales about Dr. Aibolit - one in verses, the other in prose. The basis for both was the plots of the English author Hugh Lofing, who came up with a bestial doctor named Dutylitetl. The Chukovsky doctor"s name is Aibolit, and this name is understandable to any baby in our country. Good Aibolit goes on a dangerous journey to cure sick animals, bravely fights Barmaley and his pirates, saves the boy of the pente and his father. Aibolit is a real hero, he is always ready to help those who need her. And of course, next to the doctor, his faithful, reliable friends are Avva Dog, Kika duck, Pig-and-Khru Pig, Parrot of Kapro and Owl Bumba
