A fairy tale story about a donkey named Donkey was invented and painted by an American artist of Swiss origin Roger Duvoisen in the 1940s. During his 48-year career of the author and illustrator, he created 42 pictures-pictures and illustrated more than 140 books for children. The Ground of them were translated into dozens of languages and became a classic of world literature for children.
Once a donkey, a donkey saw two reflections in the stream: his own and Pat horses. Pat ears were small and neat, and the donkey in the donkey is large and long, like burdocks. The donkey decided that because of this he had a funny and ridiculous look. He sad, lost peace and began to look for help from friends and neighbors from the farm of Mr. Smith. Everyone readily showed him how to wear his ears correctly, and everyone offered to do this in his own way. The Dog Hector advised to hang his ears down, the sheep of the curl ordered to arrange them to the sides, and the rose pig was to keep them forward. The donkey obediently followed these advice and every now and then fell into unpleasant and even dangerous situations. He was already completely desperate, but then a little girl passed by, who easily resolved all his doubts. The ears of the donkey donkey returned to their place, and he finally became the happiest donkey in the world.
The story about the donkey donkey was originally published with black and white illustrations with a pen and mascara and only a few years later Roger Duvoisen painted them with delicate watercolor. The artist carefully worked his heroes first in the circuit, and then strengthened their images with the help of color. With his inherent humor, he managed to masterfully convey the characters of the characters - the owner of Mr. Smith, his brother, donkey donkey and other inhabitants of the farm.
