Arsenyev (1872-1930), Dersu Uzala "tells about the expedition in the Ussuri Territory, undertaken by a scientist in 1907, the book is dedicated to the guide of this expedition, Gold Dersu, who taught the members of the detachment to live in the taiga and saved their dangers.
The novel will introduce the reader to the nature of the Ussuri Territory and the peoples inhabiting it, their life, rites and legends. Arseniev truthfully and excitingly tells about life in the taiga, where every wrong step threatens the hunter with death, where animals are not killed for entertainment or sake of trophies, but for food, where people help each other survive, without asking anything in return.
