The name of Victor Dragunsky is forever connected with the "Deniskin stories", but as a writer, especially child, he did not open immediately. Even in his youth, Victor got into the art environment - he worked in the circus, cinema, theater, organized the amateur troupe "Blue Bird", which performed with fun performances and was a noisy success. Dentileness, enthusiasm, humor of the theater world and the literary work of Dragunsky, and his stories often resembled small performances. It is probably not by chance that “Deniskin stories" - the most popular works of Dragunsky - constantly went on stage and were filmed many times.
When Deniskin Dad showed a deadly number during a trip outside the city - tearing his finger in front of the public - the surprise of Deniska and Bear knew no bounds. When dad pulled out a coin from the Mishka nose, everyone in the train burst into applause.
