The Mount of Gumushki was famous for various miracles, on which a copper ore was mined from the 18th century for a nearby Polevsky factory. And not without reason: the power here belonged to the mistress of the Copper Mountain. She could take a different look: she would turn out to be a lizard or a laughing -haired girl will appear, then a stranger will enter the house or the authority of the sovereign in her kingdom will accept guests. But in any appearance, the hostess loved to “wise over a person”: she would give a difficult task - and the employee’s clerk will brutally punish him, beckoned with a mysterious stone flower - and the master will go on her mountain forever. And in the grief “Like the rooms are large, and their walls are different. Either all green, then yellow with gold specks. On which the flowers are copper again. There are also blue ones, azure. In a word, it is decorated, which cannot be said. ” This beauty of the Ural land, the incredible wealth of the Ural Mountains with love and deep knowledge of the nature of the stone was conveyed by the artist Vyacheslav Nazaruk, who has for several years devoted to the illustration of the most famous tales of Pavel Bazhov
