The present publication, dedicated to the anniversary of Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996), included three collections of poems, first published in the 1970s, in the 1980-1990s at the American publishing house Ardis: Stop in the desert (1970), “Part of the speech” (1977) and “The end of the beautiful era” (1977), “New Stans by August” (1983), “Urania” (1987) and “Landscaping” (1996).
These first and last in the work of the author of the book of verses represent him as the greatest poet and thinker of the 20th century, continuing the traditions of Russian classics and at the same time bringing his own poetic voice to literature.
