Wilhelm Gauf - a German writer of the 19th century - became famous for his magical fairy tales. In many stories, cartoons were shot: “Little torment”, “Caliph-Aist”, “Dwarf Nose”.
The fairy tale “Cold Heart” with the drawings of the famous artist Yuri Molokanov was included in our book. The coalist Peter is dealing with the sorcerer of the Dutch Michelle and gives him his heart in exchange for wealth. Now the guy does not feel pain, does not know how to sympathize and get rich every day. Only wealth does not bring him joy, because with a stone heart he cannot experience any emotions. Does Peter want to return his heart?
In a small fairy tale, V. Gauf affects such complex, “adult” topics as dissatisfaction with his own life, envy and desire to resemble others, the lack of clear goals and the desire to achieve the desired price. But do only adults reflect on this? ..
