Alexander Glickberg went down in the history of Russian literature as Sasha Black. Having taken such a pseudonym in his youth, the poet regretted this more than once, and over time (having matured and graying) began to sign his poems as “A. Black ”, but still remained for all Sasha. He gained wide fame thanks to the poetic feuilletons, which were printed in the famous Satyricon magazine, led by Arkady Averchenko. According to K. I. Chukovsky, having bought “receiving a fresh issue of the magazine, the reader was primarily looking for Sasha Cherny’s poems in it. There was not such a career, such a student, such a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, an engineer who would not know them by heart. ” In his work, thin lyrics and satire are closely intertwined, the causticity of poems written on the anger of the day, and the softness, sentimentality of works for children.
