Sue Owen (b. 1942) is a modern American poetess, one of the brightest representatives of the “deep image poetry” along with Ch. Simik, M. Strand and U.S. Mervin. This direction, which arose in the 1960s in the USA, is largely dating back to the poetics of French and Spanish surrealism. In the poetry of S. Owen, laconic simplicity with sophistication of images, black humor with deep serious connotation are organically combined. The book is an almost complete collection of poems by the author. All of them were translated by Ilya Lukovtsev for the first time
