The book included the never-published verses of Nadezhda Friedman (1897-1956) and Sadi Friedman (1897-1993), which were written for half a century-first in Kyiv, where their acquaintance took place, and then in Moscow, where they moved in 1921 Their active participation in Moscow poetic life was interrupted in 1930 by the arrest of S. Friedman and a link to Kazakhstani camps. The last 25 years of his life N.Z. Friedman worked in the library of foreign literature, was engaged in poetic translations (Hugo, Heine, etc) S.L. Friedman, after graduating from Moscow State University, worked as an economist in the Supreme Economic Council, the State Planning Commission of the RSFSR, and in the military and post -war years in the People"s Commissariat of power plants and the Ministry of Energy. He also translated poets writing to Yiddish - P. Markish, S. Galkin, etc
