“Mom, I"m going to school tomorrow! Have you bought me a satchel? It turns out that in pre -revolutionary Russia, children also went to school with satchels. Sometimes, however, they wore textbooks in straps. And the schools in Russia were very different: rural, gymnasiums, boarding houses, cadet corps and even institutions of noble girls. Russian writers could not help but describe their school impressions. Much then was different: classes began with a prayer, the students looked after the cool overseers and ladies, and the grades were given by 3-, then according to the 12-point system. But at all times, schoolchildren were interested in the same thing. What new came to class? How to repulse a hooligan to a classmate? And why does the time in some lessons stretch endlessly, and on others - flies unnoticed?
