Leo Tolstoy went down in history not only as a great writer, but also as a wonderful enlightener. In his estate in Yasnaya Polyana and in many other places, he created schools for peasant children. In these schools, he refused discipline, regulations and even teaching programs. The main task of the teacher, and in this role was Tolstoy himself, was to interest the class. It was for such lessons that the writer composed many children"s works - fairy tales, fables and stories - who invariably obeyed with great attention.
The young son of the captain of the ship, the main character of the story "Jump", decided to argue in dexterity with a cunning monkey. He was offended that the monkey dragged his hat in front of the sailors. Not wanting to listen to ridicule, the boy climbed behind the monkey on the mast. Very soon, he was so high that he had to inevitably fall and break on the deck. Only the courage and resourcefulness of his father, captain, saved his life. At the heart of this and many other stories of Leo Tolstoy are real events. These stories were, as well as fairy tales and fables, they make readers think about human actions and characters and allow you to find answers to the most difficult questions.
