Emil Verkharn (1855 -1916) is an outstanding Belgian poet and playwright of the 19th century, one of the founders of literary symbolism and the founder of a free verse in franco -speaking poetry. In this publication, Verkharn is presented in the translations of large Russian poets of the Silver Age: A. Blok, V. Bryusov, M. Voloshin, V. Khodasevich and others. The book includes Essays by A. Blok "Emil Verkharn. Poems about the present "and V. Bryusov" Dante of our time.
In the present edition, selected poems from nineteen books by Emil Verkharna are included. Information about the translation activity of Russian poets, whose works are presented on these pages, are given. The book contains illustrations, equipped with the notes of the compiler and is addressed to a wide range of readers.
